V. Elections
In order for a member to be nominated, the member must have been an active member for at least one semester. Only full-time California State University, Sacramento students may be nominated and elected for a position. Actuve members must be present to be elected, nominated, and to cast a ballot. The general assembly will vote for vacant positions, resignations, impeachment, and leave of absences. Elections shall be held during the last general meeting in April. The last month of the Spring semester and Summer will be used as a period in which newly elected officers learn and work with the present executive board. All positions should be filled by the end of the Spring semester. If there are any vacant positions for the Spring semester, elections shall be held during the last emeting of the fall semester. Elections will first start by each officer explaining their position prior to nominations. Second, general assembly members will vote on secret ballots. Third, one board and one general member who have not been nominated will count ballots. If any ties were to occur, run-off election(s) would be held the following general assembly meeting.
